We are on the earth to live and enjoy life, create a better future for our children, and to leave a positive impact on those in our lives and future generations. I have included here some of the causes I am passionate about and welcome the opportunity to be a catalyst for positive change.
Your support for these and the many other causes affecting our communities is greatly appreciated.
CozArts Dream Academy
"COZARTS DREAM ACADEMY", integrates arts-based learning strategies that enhance the early childhood minds as well as curriculum. Art-based teaching methods, taps into children’s innate desire for active, multi-sensory learning. Children literally embody concepts by acting, singing, dancing, and engage their imagination through story dramatization and role play.
Creativity is a key nurturing tool for self-confidence and many of our schools suppress creativity. We should approached this opportunity to teach our children with our new program with the same national emphasis that we did in saving our national symbol... the Eagle, which was also an endangered species.
Infusing arts into academics is a central tenet of the teaching philosophy: By sparking the imagination, the learning processes will be ignited. “When the arts and music programs started being cut a few years ago, that made me crazy,” Cozart exclaims. “The creative arts — drawing, singing, dancing, acting out characters — all these things you do as a child.(These creative activities) enhance all the other subjects that you study.”

Now is the time to set goals and create a system for monitoring your academic progress for producing a good transcript, GPA, and report card. The KDA Academic Mentoring Programs for schools/organizations and student-athletes are up and running for the 2013-2014 school year. S.M.A.R.T. Programs, KDA's #1 partner company, will be the driving force for our DREAM to build awareness of school trends and issues, provide FREE workshops/training sessions, and to ultimately increase the amount of college/career ready student athletes. It will also continuously help the economy by providing jobs for educators, coaches, and counselors.
KDA is seeking sponsorship and volunteers for conducting high quality, FREE Academic Mentoring for thousands of student-athlete around the nation. "Spirit of Life"
I produced and co-created this video for the 2000 Paralympic Games in Sydney, Australia. I had never heard of the Paralympics. I saw several photos of athletes with no arms, or one leg, and even "blind" long jumpers and runners!!! I learned that the Paralympics were always held 3 days "after" the main Olympics. The song, "SPIRIT OF LIFE," was written by a young Australian singer with Cerebral Palsy. I was blessed to have a great team around me at the time. When i was asked to produce and direct a video, I had no idea, that for the past 40 years, nobody stayed to watch these athletes preform! Everyone would leave immediately following the main Olympics. People just left. When the medal's were placed around their necks, they waved to an EMPTY 100 Thousand seat Stadium. So, I called two of my friends to help me expose these exceptional athletes to the world. Gladys Knight… and Michael Jackson.
Now, when they wave... they "WAVE TO THE WORLD."!
